Our Program

Supportive Independent Living.

Heavenly Home Independent Living provides Supportive Independent Living (SIL) services for young adults ages 18–21.

Supportive Independent Living

Housing support with practical life-skills development.

Our program combines housing support with practical life-skills development, individualized planning, education and employment support, and guidance toward greater independence.

Our Approach

Structure + Support + Responsibility = Independence

HHIL is designed to provide support without preventing residents from developing independence.

Residents participate in individualized planning and practical learning experiences while receiving appropriate supervision, scheduled and unscheduled check-ins, guidance, and accountability.

As residents develop skills and demonstrate competency, the goal is for them to assume greater responsibility for managing their daily lives.

We want residents to learn more than what to do.

We want them to understand how to do it for themselves.

The Pathway to Purpose

Trauma-informed. Positive youth development.

The Pathway to Purpose Program operates using trauma-informed care and positive youth development principles.

Many young adults entering supportive programs may have experienced circumstances such as:

Abuse
Neglect
Foster care placement
Homelessness
Family disruption
Community violence
Loss and grief

These experiences can affect how a young adult approaches relationships, decision-making, trust, responsibility, and independence.

HHIL's approach emphasizes safety, consistency, respect, encouragement, skill development, and positive relationships.
